A woman struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in D.C. Saturday morning was crossing against the light and wearing headphones, sources told News4's Pat Collins.

The owner of the truck has come forward, sources said. Apparently the driver did not realize he struck a woman identified by sources as 51-year-old Debra Schiebel at about 6:20 a.m. Saturday at Constitution Avenue and 14th Street.

Schiebel was taken to George Washington University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 6:57 a.m.

No charges are pending, sources told Collins. Charges are not likely to be filed.

The incident was partially captured by nearby surveillance cameras. They show Schiebel running into the intersection as a truck enters the intersection.

The truck, which was pulling a flatbed trailer, is owned by a company in Chantilly, Va. The owner of the company saw the surveillance video on the news Saturday night and contacted police immediately. Police went to the company Monday.
