Jackknifed Truck Backs Up Traffic in Montgomery County

Traffic backed up in to Virginia

A jackknifed truck made a mess of traffic in Montgomery County, Md., Tuesday afternoon.

A tractor-trailer crashed into a jersey barrier on the Inner Loop of the Beltway just past the Interstate 270 split in Bethesda about 2 p.m.

Hazmat was called to clean up diesel spilled from two ruptured tanks.

Traffic backed up several miles in to Fairfax County, Va.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
