Illegal Immigrant Held in Abduction, Stabbing

Police: Man left for dead in a pond

An illegal immigrant is being held without bond in Virginia after allegedly stabbing a man in Prince William County, taking his car and leaving him for dead in Fairfax County.

On Dec. 1, a 46-year-old Alexandria man met 19-year-old Gelber Boror, of Woodbridge, at East Coast Billiards and the two went to a home in the 14100 block of Franklin Street, where Boror stabbed the victim multiple times in the chest, police said. Boror then drove the victim to Fairfax County in the victim's car, took the victim's cell phone and other belongings, and left the victim for dead, according to police.

The victim wound up in a pond along Springfield Drive, police said. He crawled out and found someone to call 911.

Police said the suspect drove home to Woodbridge and the following day pawned the victim's cell phone and ditched the car in Arlington County, where police found it Dec. 3.

The victim could not be immediately interviewed by police due to his injuries, but after some recovery, he was able to assist police with their investigation.

Boror was arrested at his Woodbridge home Wednesday. He is charged with abduction, aggravated malicious wounding, armed robbery, giving false identification to law enforcement and grand larceny auto. He is scheduled to appear in court May 31.

An Immigrations and Customs Enforcement detainer has been placed on Boror due to his citizenship status.
