Hypothermia Alert Set for Sunday Night, Monday Morning

The Washington Department of Human Services said a hypothermia alert will be activated at 7 p.m. Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather during Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 31 degrees. There will be a northwest wind around 15 mph, with gust as high as 21 mph, and the wind chill tonight will be in the 20s.

Hypothermia season has begun. When the temperature or wind chill is 32 degrees or below, the district issues a hypothermia alert.
