A husband and wife from Bristow, Va., avoided jail time in connection to a baby's death at an illegal day care run out of their home.

A 3-month old girl died at Rocia Chavez's house in March. Chavez pleaded guilty to four felonies as part of a deal. Her 6-year prison sentence is suspended, and she'll be on probation for the next three years.

Chavez's husband pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.

His 6-month sentence also was suspended.

Two women who were watching the baby when she died await trial on child endangerment charges.
