Howard County Police Officer Found Dead in Home

An off-duty Howard County officer was found dead in her home Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Investigators said the 8-year-veteran, female officer was found dead in her Columbia home by a family member around 1 p.m.
Police said there was no sign of foul play and are investigating the officer’s death as a medical emergency.
Police said they expect to identify the officer publicly on Monday.
