House of Sweden Bomb Threat Slows Rush Hour Traffic in Georgetown

A bomb threat at the House of Sweden made a mess of rush hour traffic in Georgetown.

D.C. Police and Fire and EMS received a report of a bomb threat in the 2900 block of K Street NW about 3:30 p.m., and traffic was diverted around the area.

Authorities searched the House of Sweden, which houses the Swedish Embassy.

All street closures were lifted before 7 p.m. except for 26th Street and Virginia Avenue. Motorists can expect traffic delays in the area to continue.
