A woman is in critical condition after being pulled from a serious house fire in Prince George's County.

Firefighters received several 911 calls around 11 a.m. Thursday, both from inside the home and from neighbors in the 3500 block of Everest Drive in Temple Hills.

They arrived to find heavy smoke and flames pouring from the house. They found the victim inside with no pulse or respiration.

Paramedics performed CPR and other emergency care as they transported her to a nearby hospital. Her name has not yet been released, but authorities said they believe she is in her 60s.

A neighbor said she initially saw heavy smoke and knocked on the door before calling 911.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
