FREDERICK, Md. -- A homeless man who threw a cinder block into the windshield of a police cruiser told officers he did it because he was "tired of being around with no food, no home," according to Frederick police.

Two officers were walking through the parking lot behind the police headquarters on West Patrick Street at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday when one officer said he saw Robert Jenifer, 22, throw the cinder block through the windshield of the parked cruiser.

Police said Jenifer was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with malicious destruction of property over $500.
