Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run at Nokesville Intersection

A 29-year-old Virginia man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that killed another man early Monday morning.

Prince William County Police say Allan Gordon Nock, 29, of Gainesville, hit a man with his car in a Nokesville intersection and then left the scene. Nock was charged Monday night with hit and run resulting in injury or death.

The crash killed Ross Damon Adams, 36, who was walking along Vint Hill Road near Broadlands when he was struck.

A passerby called police around 2:50 a.m. after finding Adams unconscious on the roadway.

Investigators found a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada parked about three miles away from the scene. Police said the car looked as if it had been involved in a crash.

Police said Nock was driving the Bravada at the time of the collision. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Nock is being held on $25,000 bond and is due in court on Sept. 19.
