20 Great Things to Do at the NBC4 Health Expo

Heading to the 2015 NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo today or tomorrow? We've picked out 20 things you will not want to miss:

Saturday

9:30 a.m.: You know where to start -- the NBC4 booth! Come by early to meet some of your favorite reporters and anchors. And then come check out the high-tech Storm Team 4x4, get to do the weather in front of the green screen -- and put yourself in an NBC show or on the slopes with our Social Media Photo Booth.

11 a.m.: Swing by the Forum Stage for the first of our informative, expert forums on key health issues,  including this one, on diabetes and heart health, with Dr. Griffin P. Rodgers, director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at the National Institute of Health. News4's Jim Handly will moderate.

Noon: Come check out Meredith Vieira, host of "The Meredith Vieira Show," for a Q&A hosted by NBC4's own Doreen Gentzler on our Demo Stage!

12:30: How does a football player eat? Come see the Washington Redskins' team chef and dietician spill the nutritionous secrets on the Healthy 4 You Cooking Stage.

2 p.m.: We've never done this before ... at the 2015 Expo we're hosting a fashion show on the Demo Stage! Come check out the latest in workout wear from Athleta and yoga classes from Mind the Mat.

2 p.m.: Or, if you're worried about stress levels, come learn how to manage stress and cope with burnout from life coach Roger Panetta, on the Forum Stage.

2:30 p.m.: The kids will love "interactive book reading" on the Kids Stage, with Chunky and O-Beast. Join them for storytime!

3 p.m.: Join the Marine Corps Marathon for a run/walk on the Walking Track. Their energy is infectious, even if you aren't in Corps condition!

4 p.m.: There's still time to come to our newest feature, the Changing Minds Pavilion. NBC4 is committed to increasing education about mental health issues -- and to ending the stigma of mental illness. Join us as #WeAreChangingMinds!

Sunday

10 a.m.: Swing by the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield booth (that's #1612) early, to make sure you know when the Diaper Races will be on. It's a cute-baby festival!

11 a.m.: On the Demo Stage, our own Storm Team4 is hosting a Q&A all about the weather. (And, trust us, there's nothing these guys like better than to talk about the weather.)

11:30 a.m.: Then, stick around the Demo Stage for Cynthia Bailey -- yep, the Real Housewife of Atlanta -- and get a chance to ask your own questions.

11 a.m.: Head to the Walking Track for an important cause: Join the Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention. Together, #WeAreChangingMinds!

12:15: The Dancing 4 You Stage is serving up "Kickin' It Oldskool, a Blast from the Past." You can't resist that, can you?

1 p.m.: We love NBC4's Megan McGrath -- even more when she cooks for us. She'll be on the Healthy Cooking 4 You Stage with her daughter, Olivia, showing us how to make quick and healthy meals in 30 minutes or less.

1 p.m.: Ever felt like you'll never lose weight? Patients and doctors from Sentara Healthcare are here to show you it can be done. Hear from people who have completed "Successful Weight Loss Journeys" on our Forum Stage.

1:30 p.m.: You can get CPR-trained at the Expo! Join the D.C. Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services for free training. Meet them in the Executive Orders area at the end of the concourse, one level above the exhibit hall.

3 p.m.: Before you go, swing the kids by the World Police Games' obstacle course (Booth 821) and get them good and tired.  (Plus, you can learn about the Games that are coming to Northern Virginia this summer.)

3:30 p.m.: The forum is closing at 4 p.m. Sunday, so make sure to swing by the NBC4 booth one more time to say 'bye -- and see you next year!
