Local high school students performed an arrangement of Michael Jackson's "Heal the World" to finish their concert for two first ladies Thursday.

Michelle Obama and Svetlana Medvedeva, the first lady of Russia, visited the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in northwest Washington Thursday afternoon.

The students offered modern and classic selections by several iconic American artists, including George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Billy Joel. One group also performed a ballet choreographed to a composition by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Obama attended a dance recital with Medvedeva in Moscow last summer.

Obama called the concert an amazing performance.
