Help Typhoon Victims: Donate in NBC4 Phone Bank

Money will help millions in the Philippines who need safe water, food and shelter

You can help the millions who need safe water, food and shelter in the Philippines following the devastation of Super Typhoon Haiyan. Donate through NBC4's phone telethon Tuesday.

Call NBC4 at 202-885-4949 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and speak to one of our NBC4 volunteers.

Or donate online by clicking here and choosing "NBC4 Typhoon Relief Fund."

We are working with the Community Foundation of the National Captial Region to distribute the money to victims of the storm, also called Typhoon Yolanda.

The storm, one of the most powerful typhoons ever to hit land, killed tens of thousands, wiped away buildings and leveled seaside homes with massive storm surges. And it left behind as many as 2 million people who need relief aid.

NBC4 thanks our NBC4 Community Advisory Board and members of the local Filipino community for their guidance in setting up our telethon.

Most important, we thank our donors for their assistance to those in desperate need.
