A local family is doing everything they can to find its beloved dog.
Sassafras was last seen near the National Zoo in Adams Morgan on April 8.
The beagle-Jack Russell mix is 3½ years old and has a medical condition.
Her owners, Jeff Abramson and Beth Edinger, said they made a youtube video, posted more than 2,000 posters, hired two professional trackers and contacted local animal shelters, but have yet to find her.
