There are more grave concerns at Arlington National Cemetery after gravestones were found in a creek.

NBC News found the headstones lying in a creek on cemetery property Thursday afternoon.

There's no word on how the markers got there or how long they've been there. They appear to be decades old.

Cemetery officials said the headstones may have been disposed of improperly but now will be disposed of properly.

Just last week, the Army found some 200 unmarked or misidentified graves at the cemetery.

The House Armed Services Committee is expected to hold a full hearing on the mismanagement at Arlington National Cemetery on June 30.
