Authorities say a Halifax County, Va., fisherman drowned over the weekend when a canoe flipped over in a pond.
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries tells media outlets that Christopher Tucker and another person were fishing in the pond at Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center in southern Virginia when their canoe flipped. The other person swam to shore.
The accident occurred Saturday at the resort in South Boston. Tucker's body was recovered Sunday morning.
