A woman described as a dedicated mother of two children was last seen Tuesday, and police have classified her as "critically" missing.
Emilia Ignacio's boyfriend, 34-year-old Juan Roman Balderas, told a friend he was taking her to dinner Tuesday evening.
"They were supposed to go out to eat and no one has heard from either Mr. Roman or from [Emilia]," George Matthews with Greenbelt City Police said.
Family members told police they are worried about Emilia's safety.
"We don't know what to do," Emilia's sister Dionys Hernandez said. "We don't know what to think. I feel she is [in trouble]."
Emilia, 28, would never leave her 1-year-old baby boy for an extended period of time, family members said. He's now under the care of her family.
The couple lived together in a Greenbelt townhome, and both of the cars they owned are also missing -- a red 1995 Jeep Cherokee with Maryland tags 1AG9751 and a red 2007 Nissan Altima with Maryland tags 9AH0777.
