Graffiti Vandals Hit Silver Spring

Vandals have been spray-painting hateful graffiti in the Stonecrest community of Silver Spring, Md.

The number "666" and swastikas were drawn on several homes, fences and mailboxes.

The first one was spotted April 11, on a fence in the 12900 block of Ruxton Road. A resident said he cleaned up the graffiti only to have the fence vandalized again on April 13, 14 and 15 with the same symbols.

On April 12, a mailbox in the 12700 block of Turquoise Terrace was spray-painted. The "artists" used red spray-paint, so It's going to take a lot of elbow grease to clean up the mess.
