A Virginia golf course employee died after an apparent golf cart crash on the course, Spotsylvania County Police say.

Arnoldo Chavarria, 30, worked at Lee's Hill Golf Club in Fredericksburg. Two fellow employees found him next to a crashed golf cart near a tree by the 16th hole at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Neither employees saw the incident take place, said Spotsylvania Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Pearce.

The employees brought Chavarria back to the club, where they called 911, police said. Chavarria was taken to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, where he was later pronounced dead, Pearce said.

Pearce said that the incident appears to be an accident, with no suspicion of foul play expected.
