Police seek help in finding the suspect in the alleged sex assault of an 8-year-old girl in her Centreville, Va., home.

An 8-year-old girl allegedly was sexually assaulted by someone known to her family.

Fairfax County police are looking for 29-year-old Salvador Portillo-Saravia, of Sterling, Va., with warrants on felony rape and sodomy, authorities said.

The suspect was inside the girl's home at in the Centreville area when he allegedly assaulted her at about 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 26, police said. He apparently coerced the girl into a room where she was assaulted and then he left discreetly, NBC Washington's John Schriffen reported.

The suspect is not related to the victim. He has no home address.
