Just as we were preparing for one of the most expensive summers at the pump, gas prices drop.
In D.C., the average price for a gallon of gas is $3.95, while Maryland drivers are paying $3.72 at the pump.
Virginians can expect to pay $3.81 for a gallon. Drivers in West Virginia are paying $3.75 a gallon when they fill up.
The Energy Department says prices are now expected to remain low during the summer.
The national average for a gallon of gas has already dropped 17 cents since early April.
