A 26-year-old law student has died from injuries he suffered when he fell two stories at the Union League Club in Chicago on Christmas Eve, authorities said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office said Eric Fatla died Monday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Police said his death appears to be an accident.

Fatla was from Frankfort, Ill., and was home for the holidays.

He attended law school at George Washington University.

The Illinois Wesleyan graduate previously worked for former Illinois Congressman Jerry Weller.
