Baltimore Police say they arrested a wanted fugitive Wednesday night near Beltsville, Md. after he stole a tractor trailer.

Police say that after receiving a 911 call for a stolen vehicle, they located the male suspect driving the cab of a big rig truck in south Baltimore.  The suspect refused to pull over, and eventually drove onto MD 295 South and into Prince George’s County, according to police. The suspect lost control of the vehicle near Beltsville, Md.

Police blocked off all lanes at one point to allow a tow truck to remove the tractor trailer cab, causing major traffic backup.

Neither officers nor the suspect were injured, according to police.

Investigators have not released the suspect’s identity, but say he is wanted by authorities in Mississippi.
