A suspect in a child sex and drug case is back in Virginia 12 years after disappearing.

Wesley Thomason was arrested Nov. 21, 2000, accused of providing drugs to minors and filming himself having sex with at least two of them, police said. But he fled Fairfax County before a court appearance.

Earlier this year, authorities learned that the 39-year-old Thomason might be living in Mexico, police said. Mexican authorities took him into custody and sent him to California July 20. He was returned to Fairfax County July 31.

Thomason, who authorities said illegally sold the videos, was charged with carnal knowledge, manufacturing sexually explicit material involving a minor, possession of cocaine, and indecent liberties. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

Anyone who knows how Thomason evaded authorities or knows of other possible victims should contact police at 703-691-2131 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS/8477.
