A vehicle crash caused a fuel spill on I-66 at the Beltway, causing traffic problems on Friday afternoon.
At 12:45 p.m., VDOT reported that all westbound lanes of I-66 were blocked at exit #64 to the Beltway.
The accident in Fairfax County was causing backups on the Beltway Inner Loop and Outer Loop. There was no access to I-66 from either roadway at 12:45 p.m.
VDOT did not immediately have an estimated time to clean the spill up.
