Travelers now have easy access to free WiFi at Reagan National and Dulles International airports.

WiFi has been available since 2007 through a consortium of wireless carriers, but travelers who did not have subscriptions with major wireless services had to pay an access fee.

Now all users who select the airports’ new free WiFi network can connect to the Internet for no charge, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority officials said.

Once you get to the airport, it’s easy enough to connect to the network, as the names are straightforward. At Reagan National select "Reagan National Complimentary Wifi," and at Dulles International select "Dulles Airport Complimentary Wifi."

Upon selecting the complimentary airport network, users will see a connectivity “splash” page where they must first click to accept the terms of the free service.

This page may include pop-up advertising in the future, airport officials said.

If you don’t want to use the airports’ free WiFi, the option of selecting a specific provider of paid connectivity will also remain available.

Customer support for the airport WiFi networks is available by calling 866-849-2850.
