Five female high school students in Frederick overdosed on prescription medication Wednesday, Frederick County police said.
Police responded around 11 a.m. to Oakdale High School in Ijamsville after a school security officer heard that the girls were vomiting and appeared dizzy, WHAG in Hagerstown reported.
Authorities said one 15-year-old female student provided the medication to the others. Four students were taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital in an ambulance while one was released to a parent.
Police said they are still investigating the incident, and charges are pending.
