Construction worker rescued from the fourth story of a downtown D.C. building after he was injured

A construction worker was rescued from the fourth story of a downtown D.C. building after he was injured on the job Friday.

The man was working on the fifth story of a building that's being demolished when he when he somehow fell down to the fourth floor, authorities told News4's Megan McGrath.

The worker sustained neck and back injuries and was unable to get out on his own. D.C. Fire and EMS removed him on a backboard using a ladder truck.

He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition around 7:30 a.m. text
