Four Wanted in Southeast D.C. Attempted Sex Assault

Four men are wanted in connection with an attempted sex assault in Southeast D.C. Sunday afternoon.

According to police, a woman was standing at a bus stop in the 1300 block of 13th Street SE at approximately 5 p.m. when she was approached by two men who tried to sexually assault her.

Police say when an unknown citizen intervened, the suspects stopped the attack, took the woman's personal belongings and fled the area.

The first suspect is described as a black man with dark complexion, standing 6'0", with dreadlocks and crooked teeth. At the time, he was wearing a red T-shirt and blue sweat pants. The second suspect is described as a black man with light complexion, standing 5'8", between 18 and 20 years of age with a short haircut. At the time, he was wearing white and yellow Michael Jordan tennis shoes.

Police did not give details of the other two suspects.
