D.C. fire and police boats pulled four kayakers from the Potomac River Tuesday.

Ten double kayaks and three single kayaks from Thompson Boat Center were on the Potomac when two double kayaks capsized due to wind and rough water. A jogger and a biker saw four people in the water and contact Thompson, which alerted authorities.

The four people who went in the water were rescued and all are safe.

All the kayaks have been removed from the Potomac as conditions have been deemed too dangerous.
