A picture may be worth a thousand words, but to a group of D.C. children a new mural will be priceless.

First lady Michelle Obama and some congressional spouses will get their hands dirty painting a mural and planting a butterfly garden at the Marie Reed Learning Center in Adams Morgan, the Associated Press reported. Just a visit from the first lady was exciting for the youngsters who go there every day after school.

Kids from after-school arts and tutoring programs also will take part in the project, which will make the center more vibrant and visually appealing.
