First Lady Reads Seuss to Local Students

Michelle Obama wants to inspire another generation of bookworms

First lady Michelle Obama teamed up with Education Secretary Arne Duncan Wednesday to inspire another generation of bookworms.

On Dr. Seuss's birthday, they celebrated Read Across America Day at the Library of Congress, with about 250 elementary school students and several celebrities, including Jessica Alba and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver.

Obama and Duncan read the Dr. Seuss classic “Green Eggs and Ham” for the students. He also told them a story about how he fell in love with reading and learning as a child.
