Fire in Glover Park

A fire in Glover Park on Saturday evening caused traffic to snarl along Wisconsin Ave. NW.

The fire started in the apartment building at 3725 Macomb St. NW. An oven fire caused minor smoke damage to the cabinets and kitchen in one residence, but D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel were able to contain the fire.

Firefighters on the scene reported no trouble with water pressure in fighting the fire.

None of the nearby restaurants, including 2Amys and Cactus Cactina, were affected -- though parking in the area was restricted as police diverted traffic off Wisconsin Ave.
