Fire Truck Accident Sends 3 To Hospitals

A serious accident involving a D.C. fire truck sent three people to the hospital Friday morning.  It happened around 7:30 a.m. near 14th Street and Constitution Avenue Northwest.

A fire truck was reportedly heading west on Constitution Avenue to a report of a fire when there was a collision involving two other cars.

Two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition.  A third was transported in serious condition.

The investigation into how this accident happened is now under way.

Drivers in that area are also experiencing major delays, with several nearby streets shut down.
