Residents in an Oxon Hill apartment building will be displaced after a Saturday morning fire tore through the building and the roof.
Prince George’s County fire officials said 13 adults and 14 children were evacuated from a building in the 5500 block of Livingston Terrace. Fire had a top floor unit and the roof on fire around 8 a.m.
Firefighters and a building alarm got everyone out safely.
The cause of the fire is listed as accidental and attributed to a malfunctioning HVAC unit.
