A fire ripped through the roof of a northwest Washington restaurant Sunday morning,
DC Fire Department crews responded to the 4800 block of McArthur Boulevard and found the BlackSalt Fish Market & Restaurant on fire. They were able to knock the fire down and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
A Facebook post from the restaurant said there were mechanical and equipment difficulties in their kitchen. Fire officials have not determined the official cause of the blaze.
There were no injuries. The restaurant is awaiting word from Health Department officials on when they can reopen.
