Finger Bitten Off in Drunken Fight

Arlington Police say a man bit off his friend’s finger during a physical altercation

Authorities say a man bit off the finger of his friend during a drunken fight in the parking lot of an Arlington bar.

Arlington County Police say three men were drinking in a van outside a bar on N. Pershing Drive when they got into an argument early Sunday morning. The victim, a 35-year-old Arlington man, stepped out of the van and was followed by his attackers.

The Washington Post reports a fist fight broke out and ended when one of the men bit off the victim's right index finger from the knuckle.

Police say the severed finger was found in the parking lot but that doctors said it could not be reattached.

Twenty-one-year-old Rudy Sales Perez and 23-year-old Jose Lopez Sales were charged with malicious wounding by mob.
