Fatal Stabbing Outside NE Homeless Shelter

    A man was fatally stabbed outside a homeless shelter in northeast D.C. on Friday morning.

    Police said the incident happened at 10:45 a.m. at 1355 New York Avenue, NE, outside of the New York Avenue Men's Emergency Shelter run by Catholic Charities.

    Paramedics attempted life-saving efforts at the scene, but the victim died of his wounds.

    Metropolitan Police said that a suspect is in custody in the incident.
