A car wash employee ran over two coworkers Wednesday, according to Montgomery County police.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the Flagship Carwash Center located at 785 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, Md.

Police said an employee was driving the car while it was being washed.  For reasons unknown at this time, the car then accelerated, struck two employees and dragged them across the street, pinning them under the car, NBC4’s John Schriffen reported.

Gabino Euseda, 48, died shortly after arriving at an area hospital. Eusebio Oacan, 44, is in critical but stable condition.

The driver, 27-year-old Julio Cesar Coreas-Portillo, was not injured and remained at the scene to assist his coworkers.
