Two Separate Fatal Accidents on I-95

Crashes just two miles apart on I-95 in Prince William County

Interstate 95 in Prince William County was the site of two separate fatal accidents Tuesday morning.

One person was confirmed dead in a crash involving multiple vehicles just south of Exit 156 in Dale City, Va., about 7:45 a.m. All northbound lanes were temporarily blocked, but drivers were able to travel in the right lane as of 9:10 a.m.

The earlier fatal accident was a single-vehicle crash around 4:30 a.m. at mile marker 154 near the weigh station.

In that incident, a Ford E350 Econoline van carrying at least three people was traveling south when the driver lost control. The van ran off the left side of the roadway, hit the guardrail and rolled over at least twice.

Two passengers were ejected, and both were transported to Fairfax Inova Hospital. One -- Marciso A. Campos, 43, of Alexandria, Va. -- has died, and the other is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van was transported to Potomac Hospital.
