One person is dead and another was hospitalized after an SUV and a car collided on Interstate 270 in Gaithersburg early Saturday morning.
Maryland State Police say that a Honda Civic collided with an Isuzu Rodeo in the northbound local lanes of Interstate 270 north of Shady Grove Road.
Investigators said that the Honda was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided with the Isuzu, which was being driven by Wen Ke Shu of Gaithersburg. Shu was taken to Suburban Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the Honda, 26-year-old John Sesay of Gaithersburg, was taken to Shady Grove Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
