Fatal Accident Closes Route 210 NB for Hours

    A portion of Route 210 in Fort Washington, Md., was closed for over five hours following an accident that left one man dead.

    Prince George's County Police say the driver of a Cadillac SUV was traveling southbound around 2:40 a.m. Monday, when he crossed into the northbound lanes near Swann Creek Road and struck an oncoming BMW .

    The man driving the BMW was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The SUV driver's injuries are not life-threatening.

    Police do not know what caused the driver of the SUV to cross into the northbound lanes.
