Family of Woman Killed in Front of Capitol Sues Government

The family of a woman killed in front of the U.S. Capitol is suing the federal government.

Miriam Carey, 34, was shot after hitting a White House barrier with her car and fleeing police in October.

Her family released a statement Tuesday saying her death was not justified. They filed a $75 million wrongful death suit.

They also want a congressional investigation into the case.
