D.C. police operating a fake auto body shop in Northeast recovered more than $1 million in drugs and more than 100 illegal guns.

Officials said the sting, which lasted several months, led to more than a dozen indictments, the Washington Examiner reported.

Dubbed Operation E.B., police called it the most successful storefront sting in more than 20 years.

Using a former auto body shop, police installed hidden cameras and put the word out that it was interested in drugs and black-market guns. Each transaction was recorded using three hidden cameras and tape recorders.
