A northern Virginia teen was electrocuted while trying to cut down a tree Tuesday evening.
The 17-year-old boy was cutting a tree down at a home in the 4200 block of Berritt Street when apparently a branch he was holding touched a 19,000-volt line, officials said.
He was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived, but he died at a hospital a short time later.
The teen's name has not been released. A neighbor said he had completed his junior year at Fairfax High School and had three brothers, the Associated Press reported.
