Fairfax County Police Officer Charged With Child Pornography

Fairfax County Police arrested and charged their former public information officer with possession of child pornography.

Detectives arrested PFC William “Bud” Walker Wednesday at police headquarters.

Walker is being held without bond, police said.

Walker was relieved of duty April 9 as part of an investigation involving child pornography.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said they received a tip from a social media website, which said child pornography been uploaded through its servers from a residence in Fairfax County. The center contacted police who began an investigation April 6, authorities said in a news release.

Detectives said they determined April 8 the residence was owned by a Fairfax police officer.

Walker joined the agency in 1999 and worked as the public information officer since 2009, according to a statement from police. He is currently on administrative leave with pay, police said.
