Fairfax Co. Swim Coach Charged With Indecent Liberties

Alleged incidents happened in 2001

A Fairfax County swim coach was taken into custody Friday and charged with three counts of indecent liberties with a minor in relation to alleged events that happened over a decade ago.

Police say that Noah Rucker, 39, of Bristow, had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor while a swim coach at James Madison High School in 2001. The alleged victim, who was a student at the school, was 17 at the time of the alleged incidents, while Rucker was 29.

In addition to his time as the head coach at Madison, Rucker also spent time as an assistant swim coach at his alma mater, Bishop Ireton High School. He has been a swim coach at a number of youth summer leagues around the area.
