FBI Searching for Suspect in Series of Bank Robberies

The FBI is seeking information on a man wanted in connection to three bank robberies in D.C. and Montgomery County, Md.

Authorities believe the same man is responsible for a robbery Jan. 13 at a Bank of America in Chevy Chase, Md.; another on Jan. 29 at a CapitalOne Bank on Connecticut Avenue NW near the Maryland border, and a third on March 28 at a Bank of America in D.C.'s Mount Pleasant neighborhood.

During each incident, the man handed a note to the bank teller demanding money, implied he had a weapon and fled on foot after receiving the money.

The FBI's wanted poster describes the suspect as between the ages of 25 and 30, of medium build and between 5'7" and 5'9". The suspect was caught on camera during each robbery wearing different clothes, authorities said.

The FBI Washington Field Office is offering up to $5,000 for anyone with information that might lead to the suspect's identification and arrest.

Anyone with information can call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or submit at tip at tips.fbi.gov
