FBI Searches for Southeast D.C. Bank Robber

The FBI is investigating a bank robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon in southeast D.C.

A man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3200 Pennsylvania Ave. SE. The suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, slid a note indicating he was armed and demanded money.

The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled the bank on foot. He was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, a yellow construction vest and a black hat. He also wore a blue towel to cover his face and carried a white construction hard hat.

The FBI is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber.
