An FBI task force has arrested an employee for Fairfax County Public Schools and charged him with crossing state lines to meet with a man who he thought could arrange sex with a 9-year-old girl.
Wesley Breeden, 29, traveled from Springfield, Virginia to northwest D.C. last week to meet a man he’d encountered on the “Taboo” advertisement section of a website. The man claimed to have a 9-year-old daughter.
The man Breeden arranged to meet was actually an undercover police investigator.
Court records describe graphic text messages sent by Breeden, questioning what sex acts would be permitted.
Breeden is an employee for Fairfax County Public Schools. The district had previously said he was an adult education instructor, but now say they are unclear about his job title.
Calls to the phone number listed for Breeden in court records were unsuccessful.
Federal prosecutors have charged Breeden with “knowingly travel into the District of Columbia from the State of Virginia for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.”
